Description of Responsibilities:  The MBA Advisor will report to the MBA Director and will help administer the MBA programs offered at the Oswego and Syracuse Branch campuses and online.  Primary responsibilities include all aspects of student advisement and support for MBA program prospects and students.  Duties also include all related administrative paperwork and follow-up, general office responsibilities, student communications, participating in recruitment activities, and graduate projects as assigned. The position will be based on the Oswego campus but travel to the Syracuse Branch campus and recruiting events may be required.

In addition, will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related degree with comparable experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in business or relevant discipline.
  • Experience with counseling or advising in an academic environment.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems and digital media communications.
