University of Pennsylvania — Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Full Time CE Track Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine is seeking two board eligible/board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon for two full-time position on the Clinician-Educator track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful applicants should have experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Fellowship or training in surgical oncology, microvascular flap and craniofacial reconstruction is an advantage. Candidates will have the opportunity to pursue both existing and new areas of research in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Responsibilities include provision of surgical patient care as well as instruction and supervision of dental students and surgery residents. Participation in clinical and/or basic science research in topics related to oral and maxillofacial surgery is expected. Applicants must have an M.D. and a D.M.D./D.D.S. or equivalent degree. They must also be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

A current unrestricted M.D. and D.M.D./D.D.S license to practice medicine/dentistry in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and proficient in spoken and written English.
