Darrice Griffin has been named deputy director of administration at the University of Georgia Athletic Association. This past summer she was named the deputy director of athletics at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She joined the staff at the University of Massachusetts in 2015. Earlier, Griffin was associate athletics director for intercollegiate sports programs at Columbia University in New York City.
Griffin is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where she majored in psychology and played varsity basketball.
Timothy J. Dunn was appointed Title IX and bias harassment coordinator at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has been serving as Title IX coordinator at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Earlier, Dunn was director of Greek affairs at Union College in Schenectady, New York.
A native of Texas, Dunn earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He holds a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
Quentin R. Tyler will be the new associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Michigan State University. He will begin his new job in March. Currently, Dr. Tyler serves as assistant dean and director of diversity in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Tyler holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics and a Ph.D. in sociology, all from the University of Kentucky.
Sherryta Freeman was named director of athletics at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. She has been serving as senior associate athletics director and senior woman administrator at the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier, she was senior associate athletics director at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Freeman is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where she majored in environmental studies and was a four-year varsity letter winner in basketball. She holds a master’s degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts.
