Valencia College is now seeking an innovative and committed Dean to lead the School of Hospitality and Culinary at our new Downtown Campus opening Fall 2019.

In this position you will lead the academic, fiscal, and operational areas of the School of Hospitality and Culinary within Valencia College in close partnership with the Campus President and with colleagues around the College. You will be responsible for ensuring all facets of School plans are aligned with and fulfill the college’s strategic priorities and direction.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have education and experience commensurate to a doctorate from a regionally accredited institution [preferred], master’s degree required.
  • Possess leadership experience appropriate to a senior leadership role in higher education.
  • Demonstrate evidence of genuine expertise and experience in teaching and learning, including direct experience in teaching.
  • Have experience in applying instructional technologies.
  • Demonstrate successful record of innovative academic leadership and commitment to the highest standards of academic quality and institutional and personal integrity.
  • Possess experience in financial analysis, budget development and the design and assessment of administrative support systems. Experience with grant and grant management.
  • Have experience in analyzing, interpreting and disseminating student engagement, academic and outcome data.
