University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor (Academic Clinician), Adult Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Adult Psychiatry with a focus on experience as an attending psychiatrist. Responsibilities include direction and supervision of all activities related to a team of psychiatric inpatients at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center that will include direction of patient care, supervision of the establishment of diagnosis, development and implementation of treatment plans, documentation of treatment services and supervision of all clinical personnel.

Duties will also include teaching of trainees including medical students and psychiatric residents and provision of psychiatric consultations to patients hospitalized on the various services of the general hospital with appropriate follow-up as indicated. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Psychiatry is required.

Pennsylvania Medical License required.
