NYU School of Medicine — Associate / Full Professor, Neuroscience Institute

The Neuroscience Institute at NYU Langone Health seeks to recruit an established faculty member (Associate or Full Professor) to initiate an innovative, high impact research program and join our dynamic and collaborative community.

The Neuroscience Institute encompasses an outstanding, interactive group of researchers that cumulatively investigate development, genetics, molecular and cellular neurobiology, sensation, perception, cognition, and behavior in a variety of model organisms. Although our institute focuses primarily on basic neuroscience research, we also benefit from interactions with neighboring clinical departments in the School of Medicine with a range of translational interests such as movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neurodegeneration, developmental and psychiatric diseases, and epilepsy. The Institute also boasts a brand new state-of-the-art facility, a thriving cross-campus graduate program, and a rich array of scientific seminars and events that encourage a collaborative and intellectually stimulating scientific environment.

Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and are expected to have a strong track record of research achievements, including a history of NIH funding and impactful publications. The successful candidate will also be eager to contribute to strengthening our community through mentoring students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty.
