Wayne State University — Assistant / Associate Professor, Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Wayne State University invites applications for tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commencing in fall, 2018.  The Department will consider all areas but is primarily interested in hiring in algebra, analysis, or statistics. Applications should include a detailed vita, description of current research interests, and four letters of recommendation, one of which should address teaching.  Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred to a statement of teaching philosophy.  A Ph.D. in mathematics or Statistics and a strong interest in research and teaching are required.
