Portland State University — Assistant Professor in Environmental / Natural Resource Policy and Administration

The Department of Public Administration in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University seeks to fill a new nine-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Fall of 2018. This position is responsible for teaching graduate level classes in the subject area of environmental and natural resource policy administration. Candidates should also have the capacity to teach traditional public administration core courses.

The Department of Public Administration has approximately 130 enrolled graduate students (MPA, MPA-HA, Executive MPA, Graduate Certificates), and approximately 20 undergraduate students in Civic Leadership Minor. All of the Department of Public Administration Master’s degree programs are NASPAA accredited; the MPA-HA is also accredited by CAHME. The Department is one of three academic programs in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government, which also includes the Departments of Political Science and Criminology and Criminal Justice.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in a relevant discipline. ABD candidates who will have a completed degree by 9.16.2018 will be considered.
