Oregon State University – Cascades — Assistant Professor, Computer Science

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science.

The person who fills this position is assigned to work at Oregon State University – Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon.

Oregon State University’s commitment to student success includes hiring, retaining, and developing diverse faculty to mentor and educate our undergraduate and graduate students from entry through graduation.

The applicant should be able to teach a broad range of undergraduate computer science courses including, but not limited to, introductory computer science, data structures, analysis of algorithms, web development, and database management systems. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research, obtain grants, and collaborate with existing research programs in the School and the College of Engineering at OSU-Corvallis and local industry.

About OSU-Cascades: Oregon State University’s branch campus in Bend, Oregon, features outstanding faculty in degree programs that reflect Central Oregon’s vibrant economy and abundant natural resources. Nearly 20 undergraduate majors, 30 minors and options, and four graduate programs include computer science, energy systems engineering, kinesiology, hospitality management, and tourism and outdoor leadership. The branch campus expanded to a four-year university beginning fall 2015; its new campus opened in fall 2016.
