Duke University — Literature Program Associate / Full Professor Faculty Position

The Program in Literature at Duke University invites applications for an advanced associate or full professor position. We seek a colleague committed to the “theoretical humanities” whose work forges rigorous and creative connections among some of the fields that orient our research and teaching: literary and cultural studies, political theory and philosophy, decoloniality and post-colonial theory, film theory, feminist studies, critical ethnicity and race studies, psychoanalytic theory, new media, and science studies. While we are interested in any theoretical configuration that expands our profile, we encourage applicants whose research engages new directions in media studies, transnational race studies, and/or environmental humanities. Applicants should have demonstrable experience in program development, undergraduate teaching, and doctoral mentorship.

Please submit (electronically) a CV and letter of application to: The Literature Program Search Committee at http://literature.duke.edu. Review of applications will begin November 13, 2017.
