We invite applicants for the Clinical Associate Professor in Leadership and Innovation position. The position is a full-time, year-to-year, non-tenure eligible, academic-year appointment (with the possibility for summer teaching). The successful candidate will teach online and/or face-to-face courses and mentor students in a rigorous, doctoral program that is delivered both face-to-face and online and prepares students in action research. The candidate will also have opportunities to collaborate with nationally recognized faculty in research and educational leaders in innovation and program development in a wide range of areas, including interdisciplinary projects with other departments and colleges. Major responsibilities include: (1) teaching graduate courses in the EdD program in Leadership and Innovation, (2) advising graduate students as both a dissertation chair and committee member; (3) collaborating on the growth of the EdD in Leadership and Innovation and related programs; and (4) providing service to the institution, profession and community. This position requires a regular presence as needed to collaborate with peers on ASU campuses in the Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate degree from an accredited university in Education or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in graduate-level teaching in Education or a related field
  • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with peers in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to mentor action research as a signature pedagogy in an education doctorate program, including guiding students in various research methods within action research

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in educational leadership and leadership
  • Documented success in college-level teaching in an online environment, including with students from multiple cultures and countries
  • Documented success in mentoring doctoral students, including as a dissertation advisor
  • Documented success in mentoring doctoral students from multiple cultures and countries
  • Experience with curricular program development, preferably demonstrated leadership in program implementation and delivery
