Virginia Commonwealth University — Assistant / Associate Dean for Experiential Education

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Dean for Experiential Education. The position reports to the Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs with responsibility for planning and oversight of the School’s experiential education programs. The position is a non-tenure track, full-time, twelve-month faculty appointment in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science.

Duties and responsibilities include supervising office staff, program administration, quality assurance, recruiting and developing affiliate faculty, developing and maintaining communications with affiliate faculty and students, traveling to training sites, teaching, scholarship, and service. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience or show commitment to work in and foster a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment as a faculty member at VCU.

Candidates should possess a Pharm.D. Degree or other advanced pharmacy degree with extensive practice experience, including precepting students and participating in experiential education/training programs. Pharmacy residency or fellowship training is preferred. Faculty experience is highly desirable. Administrative title, academic rank, and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
