University of Pennsylvania — Cancer Predisposition Investigator (Tenure or CE track)

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Full, Assistant, and/or Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care.

The Division of Oncology and the Center for Childhood Cancer Research (CCCR) are seeking to recruit a laboratory investigator studying genes, mechanisms or animal models related to disorders responsible for cancer predisposition in the first two decades of life. Candidate with an MD or MD-PhD should be engaged in laboratory research, with a clinical interest and expertise in cancer predisposition. However, a PhD with an exceptional research program would also be considered. M.D. and M.D./Ph.D. candidates must be Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or a related discipline.

The successful applicant will be academically productive, collaborative and able to expand this research enterprise at CHOP and Penn. This position will be supported by a generous start-up package. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in teaching residents, fellows, graduate students and/or medical students.
