University of Pennsylvania — Academic Vascular Surgeon

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. Responsibilities include clinical care for vascular surgery patients; teaching of medical students, residents and vascular fellows; and either basic science or clinical research in the field. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery for general and vascular surgery or eligible for such certification.

The clinical practice affiliated with this position will be housed primarily at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Philadelphia, with secondary duties at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Candidates with vascular surgery fellowship training will be preferred, as will those with demonstrated interest in and aptitude for research.
