The Department of Criminal Justice at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for an assistant professor with a Ph.D. in criminal justice beginning September 2018. The Department of Criminal Justice provides a broad range of courses to provide students with a comprehensive and solid background for entering into criminal justice. Candidates should have teaching and research experience.  The successful candidate will teach policing, statistics, methods, criminology and other criminal justice courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

California State University, San Bernardino (a Hispanic serving Institution) is located in San Bernardino in the Inland Empire, 60 miles east of Los Angeles.  CSUSB offers programs through the colleges of Arts and Letters, Business and Public Administration, Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences and operates a satellite campus in Palm Desert located in Coachella Valley.  CSUSB serves approximately 20,700 students and offers 47 undergraduate, 35 graduate and one doctoral degree as well as 13 programs with national accreditation.

Typical Activities
The successful candidate will teach criminal justice courses, conduct and publish research, provide service to the university community including criminal justice agencies, and advise students.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in criminal justice from an accredited university at time of appointment, research evidence, teaching experience.
