Two African American Scholars to Serve in Dean Positions

Ann Lampkin-Williams was appointed to a two-year term as interim dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She has been serving, and will continue to do so, as special counsel to the chancellor for inclusion and strategic projects and interim director of the Center for Disparity and Equity Solutions.

Dr. Lampkin-Williams holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Indiana University. She earned a Ph.D. from Clark Atlanta University.

Craig Rhodes is the new interim dean of the College of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. He has been serving as special assistant to the provost. Dr. Rhodes joined the faculty at the university in 2002 in the master’s degree program in training and development for industry.

Dr. Rhodes holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology and a master’s degree in technology teacher education from North Carolina A&T State University. He earned a doctorate in education at the University of Minnesota.
