California Lutheran University — Assistant Professor, Psychology

California Lutheran University invites applicants for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Psychology for our undergraduate program beginning in the fall of 2018. Our campus has recently become an Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and we are looking for candidates with a demonstrated commitment to and success working in diverse, multi-cultural and multi-racial communities. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology and be very well-versed in advanced quantitative methodologies. The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate outstanding commitment to teaching a diverse undergraduate student population, student mentorship, as well as a record of scholarly productivity that is preferably focused on issues of diversity, inequality, or social justice.

Primary responsibilities for this position include teaching the following undergraduate courses (3 per semester): Statistics, Advanced Statistics, and Research Methods. Additional duties include advising students, developing a program of research that engages undergraduate students and contributes to the cultural diversity of Cal Lutheran, participating in department activities and ongoing program development within the undergraduate program, serving on faculty committees, and establishing collaborative relationships within the University and broader community.
