University of Denver — Three Assistant-level, Tenure-line Positions, Psychology Department

The Department of Psychology at the University of Denver is seeking exceptionally well-qualified candidates for three assistant-level, tenure-line positions.

Assistant Professor emphasizing early life experience
We seek candidates to contribute to our Stress, Early Experience and Development – [SEED] Research Center ( within the Department of Psychology. Candidates with training in clinical or developmental psychology whose research examines early (prenatal through childhood) experiences and incorporates biological and behavioral approaches are particularly encouraged to apply.

Assistant Professor in clinical child psychology
We seek clinical psychologist candidates for a position in the clinical child psychology program. Individuals should have a program of research on some aspect of clinical child psychology; we are particularly interested in individuals studying the assessment, etiology, treatment or prevention of child or adolescent psychopathology. The candidate should be license eligible in the state of Colorado.

Assistant Professor in affective science
We seek candidates who can contribute to our department focus on affective science by investigating social groups or culture. Examples of relevant research areas include, but are not limited to, effects of groups or culture on emotion perception, experience, communication, or regulation; or the role of emotion in stereotyping, prejudice, stigma, attitude formation/learning, information transmission, or social cognition. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in mechanism, such as using computational approaches, experimental methods, or biological measures. All candidates’ research statements should clearly indicate how their research contributes to a program in affective science.
