University of Pennsylvania — Tenure Position, Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Division

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant or Associate Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research. We are seeking applicants with appropriate post-graduate clinical training in Medicine with ABIM Board Certification in Internal Medicine or its specialities who are eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Penn invites clinical, health services, and bench research applicants. The successful candidate should demonstrate a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative, interdisciplinary patient-centered outcomes or health services research.”

As a new faculty member, the successful applicant will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. Additional responsibilities may include clinical activity and teaching within the Health System and VA, as well as participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on his/her research focus.
