Touro College — Assistant Professor of Psychology

Reports to: Department Chair of the Department of psychology
Status: Full Time
FLSA: Exempt
Location: New York School of Career and Applied Studies Manhattan

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2017.


  • Teach four undergraduate courses per semester including but not limited to Experimental Psychology lecture and lab.
  • Supervise student research.
  • Provide academic student advisement.
  • Serve on department, division and college committees.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.


Education, Preparation, and Training

  • Doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Experience in college level teaching.
  • Demonstrated research activity.


  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and required, both written and oral, as well as a high level of sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings.

  • Extensive Use of Computers

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
