University of Pennsylvania — Nephrologist, Metabolic Bone Disease

The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Candidates must be board certified in Nephrology.

This individual will assume a role as clinician, teacher and clinical or translational scientist with a research program and nationally recognized expertise in metabolic bone disease particularly as it pertains to chronic kidney disease (CKD-MBD). We are particularly interested in candidates who seek to maintain an extramurally-funded research program within Penn’s rich research environment, working with scientists in the Departments of Orthopedics, Radiology, and Pediatric Nephrology with related interests. This person should have had advanced clinical science training and a focus clearly defined by a robust publication and funding record.
