VISITING FACULTY POSITION

PIANO

RANK/SALARY: Assistant/Associate Professor. Salary and tenure status commensurate with candidate’s credentials and experience.

DUTIES: (1) Teach studio piano and other possible teaching assignments in support of the needs of the Piano Area, such as undergraduate and/or graduate course(s) in literature, pedagogy, collaborative arts, and/or professional development; (2) supervise undergraduate recitals, graduate recitals, and DMA documents; (3) maintain a record of performances that indicates continuing growth and national/international visibility; (4) recruit undergraduate and graduate piano students to the School of Music; (5) serve on School of Music committees and perform other appropriate college, university, and professional service.

QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in Piano Performance or its equivalent in professional experience; demonstrated evidence of successful applied teaching at the university level; artist-level performer. We are seeking an accomplished and creative musician with a national/international reputation in performance. In addition to a vibrant solo concert career, commercial recordings and/or being under professional management are desirable.
