The University of Alabama — Assistant Professor, Human Nutrition

The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama invites applications for a 12 month, non-tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. Anticipated start date: June 1, 2017.

Required qualifications: PhD (required), DrPH (required), or EdD (required) in nutrition or a nutrition-related field; Registered Dietitian (preferred); must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level nutrition courses; evidence of the ability to teach at the collegiate level and experience in online education delivery.

Responsibilities: Teaching and outreach to articulate with the mission of the university, including: Teach courses as needed at the undergraduate and graduate levels; direct the Master’s Program in Human Nutrition, including recruitment, mentoring, and advising graduate students; serve on departmental, college, and university committees, including thesis and dissertation committees.
