The Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the research track non-tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of sleep/circadian biology with a focus on stress or neuro-immune mechanisms. Responsibilities include development of a research program. Applicants should submit a list of three (3) referees (names), cover letter, CV and a 2-3 page detailed research plan as a single PDF file. We may request the letters of recommendation only after a preliminary screening process.
Special attention will be given to those who have a minimum of 10 years’ experience, developed innovative approaches to behavioral genetics, and demonstrated an ability to obtain extramural funding. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
The Department of Neuroscience is located within a vibrant environment on the U Penn campus. The Mahoney Institute for Neurosciences (MINS) includes more than 100 labs, spanning the breadth of the neurosciences, brought together to foster collaborative and multi-disciplinary approaches to advance our understanding of the brain.
