The College of Education invites applications to fill the position of Director of Recruitment. This position has primary responsibility for developing, coordinating, and implementing the College of Education’s long-range undergraduate ​and graduate student recruitment​, retention​, and graduation​ initiatives. and strategies.

The Director will also develop targeted recruitment programs for ​all programs​ with particular emphasis on increasing the percentage of ​African American and Latino students in the College of Education. ​The Director will be expected to coordinate high school, community and four-year college visits. ​ Some travel will be required.​

Bachelors degree in education or related field required. Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs or college student personnel preferred. Five years experience working in an academic setting and/or recruitment and knowledge of advising theories and best practices preferred. In-depth knowledge of multicultural recruitment issues and broad base of involvement with campus services and resources related to cultural diversity.
