University of California, Davis — Assistant Adjunct Professor, Anatomy and Physiology

The Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine seeks to fill one full-time position in the Assistant Adjunct Professor series with responsibilities that include 1) Teaching Anatomy and Physiology to both medical and nursing students, including a cadaver-based laboratory course, 2) Conducting original research in the field of professional student education, and 3) fulfilling service obligations related to the educational mission. Applicants must hold the PhD and/or equivalent professional degree, have a demonstrated track record of teaching excellence in the fields of Anatomy and Physiology, and experience in the conduct of research as documented in peer-reviewed publications in the scholarly literature. The position will be based at the UC Davis Health System, in Sacramento, California.
UC Davis is a campus of 31,000 students and was recently ranked among the top 10 public Universities in the nation. The campus has exceptional strength in the biological sciences, and was recently ranked 16th in the nation for extramural research funding. The campus is situated in a University town, and is renowned for its highly collaborative environment.
