Seton Hill University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Art Therapy, beginning in August 2017.
Requirements include a Masters degree in Art Therapy or a related mental health field, with a doctorate preferred. The candidate must have licensure within the candidates’ current state of residency and be a Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Teaching and clinical experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with documented experience in trauma focused and recovery approaches to care, as well as a commitment to issues of social justice and community.
Responsibilities include teaching art therapy at the undergraduate and graduate levels, coordinating the undergraduate program, coordinating and supervising field placements, assisting with program development, and other duties as determined by the candidate’s expertise and the needs of the program. A commitment to teaching within the context of a liberal arts education is also required.
