Clark Atlanta University Doubles Its Number of International Students

Clark Atlanta University, the historically Black educational institution in Georgia, reports a record number of international students on campus this spring. This semester, there are nearly 400 students from 21 foreign nations at Clark Atlanta.

During the Fall 2014 semester Clark Atlanta University enrolled only 167 international students.  Within two years that number has more than doubled.  Some 87 percent of all foreign students at the university are from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Gwen Wade, director of international programs at Clark Atlanta University, states that “international students provide enriching opportunities for the Clark Atlanta University community to broaden individual perspectives and enhance learning experiences on cultures, languages, religions and customs, which might be new or different.”
