SUNY, Purchase College — Residence Coordinator

General Description: The Residence Coordinator (RC), is a live-in, essential personnel staff member, and reports to the Assistant Director of Community Engagement. This person is responsible for daily community development of residential curriculum, facilities management, and property oversight of a residential facility on campus. Supervision of paraprofessional staff members, programming management, fostering student growth and development, and managerial organization are some of the essential daily functions of this staff member. The Residence Coordinator will also serve as a level one conduct officer with the Office of Community Standards. In the fall semester, the RC will teach one First Year Seminar course, and advise this group of students during the fall and spring semesters, which is coordinated through the Learning Center. Residence Coordinators have collateral assignments to support growth for the Office of Community Engagement and the Division of Student Affairs. Finally, the Residence Coordinator will serve in an emergency, on-duty rotation with other members of the Office of Community Engagement.
