The Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University invites outstanding applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Computer Engineering.

The candidates must demonstrate evidence of exceptional teaching, scholarly accomplishment, service and funding activity. Candidates are expected to lead high-quality instructional and scholarly research activities, play a major role in the development of academic programs and students’ advisement, and establish and maintain professional relationships. Candidates are also expected to develop, or have already developed, a nationally and internationally recognized research program in his/her area of expertise in one or more relevant disciplinary areas. The successful candidates will have strong communication skills. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

While each position will be based on one of Pace’s two campuses (NYC and Westchester), teaching and travel between the two will likely be required.

Positions are open in the following areas of interest and academic disciplines; preference will be given to candidates capable of teaching across topics and in interdisciplinary measures:

Computer Science – Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Computer Science. Priority will be given to applicants with research expertise in:

  • Cognitive Science

  • Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing

Software Engineering – Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Priority will be given to applicants with research expertise in:

  • Software security
  • Data-intensive Software Engineering
  • Cyber-physical Systems
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Software Design and Architecture

Information Systems – Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Information Systems. Priority will be given to applicants with research expertise in:

  • Security and Privacy of Information and IS/IT
  • Decision Analytics and Support
  • Social Media and Digital Collaborations
  • Sustainability and Societal Impacts of IS/IT
  • E-Business and E-Government
  • Human-Computer Interaction
  • IS/IT Design and Business Process Management
  • IS/IT Governance and Control
  • IS/IT Strategy and Organizational Impacts
  • IS/IT Implementation, Adoption and Use
  • Managing IT Projects and Development

Computer Engineering – Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering. Priority will be given to applicants with research expertise in:

  • Networking and Communication
  • Compilers and Operating Systems
  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  • Embedded Systems
  • Computational Science and Engineering
  • Distributed Systems and Mobile Computing
  • Information Assurance and Cybersecurity
