The Department of History, Government & Economics at Dutchess Community College invites applications for a Tenure Track faculty position in History with an expected start date in August of 2017. The department is looking for a versatile historian with a specialization in the History of the United States who can also teach survey courses in World history and Western Civilization.
Minimum qualifications include: an earned Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in History. Some college level teaching experience is preferred.
Candidates should have some experience using instructional technology in classroom or online adaptations, and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies. A commitment to diversity and an understanding of how diversity impacts learning and instruction is strongly preferred.
Faculty positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Dutchess Community College and Dutchess United Educators (DUE).
