The Department of Business at Dutchess Community College invites applications for a Full-Time faculty position in Accounting. This opening is a tenure track position with an expected start date in August of 2017.
Minimum qualifications include an MBA, or earned Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those with both college level teaching and work experience in the field of Accounting.
Preference will be given to candidates who have an understanding and appreciation of the role of the community college in higher education, and can teach a variety of courses in our Accounting degree program. Demonstrated leadership abilities or experience to potentially become the Chairperson of the Accounting Programs in the Business Department and an appreciation for diversity of all types and how diversity impacts learning and instruction is strongly desired.
Candidate should also have experience using MS Excel, Quickbooks, Sage-Peachtree, and/or similar accounting software packages on a regular basis. Candidates should have experience in using instructional technology in classroom, online adaptations, and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies.
Faculty positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Dutchess Community College and Dutchess United Educators (DUE).
