Debra Foster Greene to Serve as Provost at Lincoln University in Missouri

Debra Foster Greene was appointed interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. She has been a faculty member at the university for 20 years and served for eight years as chair of the department of history, political science, and philosophy.

In accepting the appointment, Dr. Greene said “as a 20 year faculty member, I look forward to continuing to serve and share my expertise and leadership with an institution whose mission I believe in. I want Lincoln University to provide a 21st century education by teaching 21st century skills. We do this by training the faculty to engage students through a number of modes of teaching and by making the best use of technology in teaching and learning with the outcome being students who are able to demonstrate acquired skills and knowledge.”

Dr. Greene is a graduate of Alcorn State University in Mississippi. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Missouri.
