The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting 1 full-time academic pediatrician within the Pediatric Cardiology specialty. We are recruiting at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in the Clinical X or Health Science Clinical Series in the Section of Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics. Candidates must possess an M.D. degree, Pediatric Residency, Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship, be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of California. The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on certain departmental committees.

With more than 120 physicians in 33 pediatric subspecialties, the Children’s Hospital is a 118-bed hospital housed within the 619-bed University of California, Davis Medical Center. It is the only designated Children’s Hospital in the Sacramento region, and is known for offering comprehensive, compassionate, family-centered care. UC Davis Children’s Hospital is distinguished for its outstanding congenital heart program and its internationally recognized telemedicine programs. Within the last few years, UC Davis Children’s Hospital built a new 49-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a new 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The Pediatric Heart Center, located at the Children’s Hospital, provides a range of comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures for children with heart defects.
