The Department of English at Oakland University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in British Literature, with primary specialization in literature of the Restoration and Eighteenth Century, to begin August 15, 2017. Secondary interest open.
We are seeking an individual with genuine enthusiasm for teaching, university level teaching experience, and a record of scholarly activity. Courses will include undergraduate general education courses, core courses in the major (including a British literary history survey from 1660–1800), and master’s level graduate courses.
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in English Literature by August 15, 2017. Competitive salary and full benefits; 3/2 teaching load.
