Marymount University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Business Administration. Marymount is guided by the traditions of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary and emphasizes intellectual curiosity, service to others, and a global perspective. With a main campus just outside Washington, DC, in Arlington, VA, and three other educational sites in close proximity, Marymount is Virginia’s only Catholic comprehensive university.

A welcoming, inclusive and diverse learning community, Marymount’s enrollment is approximately 3,400. 37% of the Marymount student body is made up of under-represented communities. The University offers over 30 undergraduate and more than 20 masters and doctoral programs within four academic schools: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education and Human Services, and the Malek School of Health Professions. With 160 full-time faculty, 195 part-time faculty and a student to faculty ratio of 12:1, the Marymount community prides itself on being student-centered and committed to student success.

The School of Business Administration (SBA), Marymount’s largest school, is home to 936 undergraduate and 312 graduate students who are supported by 32 full-time, and 45 part-time and adjunct faculty. With a budget of approximately $4 million, SBA offers three undergraduate, six graduate and six dual-degree programs, including both traditional programs (e.g. BBA and MBA) along with innovative degrees in Information Technology, Cybersecurity and Health Care Management.

The Dean of the School of Business Administration is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the school. The SBA community seeks a visionary, strategic leader and a person of high energy who has: a minimum of five years’ experience in academic leadership/administration, executive positions in the public/private sector or equivalent experience; demonstrated experience engaging the external business and governmental community to develop and leverage partnerships; a strong background and understanding of technology; and has an understanding of, and affinity for, Marymount’s mission, vision and values, including its Catholic identity. An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education, and/or substantial business experience in a senior leadership position is required.
