Edward B. Marable Named to a Dean Position at the Seton Hall University School of Law

marableheadshotsept2016Edward B. Marable was appointed assistant dean of student services at the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. In this position, Marable will supervise all student organizations and activities and act as advisor to the Student Bar Association.

Marable was serving as a principal investigator and a deputy public defender in the Office of the Public Defender Officer of Law Guardian for the State of New Jersey. He also was a practicing attorney specializing in child welfare issues. In addition, Marable has served as the South Ward councilman, president, and vice president for the City of Orange Township in New Jersey.

Marable is a 1994 graduate of the Seton Hall University School of Law. Commenting on his appointment, Marable said that “service to others has been a central theme throughout my career and was part of my motivation to take this position at Seton Hall Law. The Law School attracts the best and brightest law students, and I was very drawn to the diverse culture and rigorous environment here. It is truly a unique opportunity to be of service to others at the very place that transformed my life for the better.”
