University of Pennsylvania — Assistant Professor (Clinician Educator Track), Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health with a focus on Psychoneuroendocrinology, Psychophysiology, and Psychoneuroimmunology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania at the time of application.

The Penn Center for Women’s Behavioral Wellness and Penn PROMOTES Research on Sex and Gender in Health is seeking to hire a psychologist with research funding (federal or foundation) and clinical expertise in women’s reproductive behavioral health. Responsibilities include directing (under the supervision of the Center Director) the Maternal Wellness Initiative (MWI) within a primary obstetrics service for underserved and under resourced pregnant and postpartum women. The MWI provides consultation and ongoing psychological services for pregnant women with behavioral health concerns. In addition to directing the MWI, this position requires that the individual have the capacity, both with respect to skill and funding to pursue their own area of research within the field of women’s reproductive behavioral health and/or sex differences research, preferably related to perinatal health and/or intergenerational transmission of risk or resilience for behavioral health issues. This position will require that the individual spend at least 75% of their effort on research and up to 25% effort towards clinical care and/or administration.

At least 3 years of post-doctoral clinical or research training is desired.
