Job Description:
The School of Social Work in the College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for one 9-month, tenured position at the rank of associate or full professor, anticipated to begin August 2017. Salary is contingent upon experience and qualifications.

This full-time position is being added to expand expertise and scientific discovery in evidence-based prevention and clinical and population-based research to improve best practices and behavioral health outcomes for local, national, and global communities.  The School of Social Work is committed to preparing students as behavioral health leaders with broad expertise in intervention design, implementation and evaluation in behavioral health practice.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the graduate level in the School of Social Work and participate in teaching and mentoring doctoral students.

Housed within the College of Health and Public Affairs, the UCF School of Social Work offers a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a master’s degree in Social Work, and a Social Work track in the interdisciplinary Public Affairs Ph.D. program. Required Qualifications:
M.S.W. degree from a CSWE-accredited institution with two years post-M.S.W. experience, and a Ph.D. in Social Work or a related health or social science discipline (e.g., Public Health, Health Education, Psychology) from an accredited institution. Teaching experience at the graduate level.  Applicants must have a record of extramural research funding.

Preferred Qualifications:
An established behavioral health research focus and publication record within an area of specialization such as, aging, chronic disease prevention and management, health communications (e.g., eHealth), maternal and child health, and/or mental health (including substance abuse, trauma).  We are interested in applicants with demonstrated expertise and ability to apply cutting edge research to one or more of the following areas: health and behavioral health disparities, sexuality, sexual health, violence prevention and intervention.
