The Next Provost at Albany State University in Georgia

kadhiAlbany State University in Georgia has announced that Tau Kadhi will assume the position of provost and vice president for academic affairs on November 1. He has been serving as associate provost for academic programs and undergraduate research at North Carolina Central University in Durham.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Kadhi was assistant vice president for learning assessment in academic affairs at West Texas A&M University in Canyon. He also served as dean of the Northwest Campus of Texas Southern University in Houston.

In accepting his new post, Dr. Kadhi said that “I consider it both an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve the students of the new Albany State University and our other stakeholders. I look forward to joining the outstanding team of administrators, faculty and staff in collective efforts to move the university forward.”

Dr. Kadhi holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Prairie View A&M University in Texas. He earned an MBA at Texas Southern University and a Ph.D. in mathematics curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University in College Station.
