Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts seeks an experienced HRIS Analyst (Analyst). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, HRIS, Benefits and Payroll (AVP search is underway), the Analyst will be responsible for writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing Workday, Excel and other data analytical tools in support of the day-to-day operations of the HRIS, Benefits and Payroll function of the College. This role offers the opportunity to assist in developing standard reports for ongoing customer needs; to contribute to the implementation of system upgrades; to access multiple databases; to conduct periodic audits of data in the Workday system and to create and implement plans to correct any discrepancies; and to participate in the process and reporting improvement initiatives that will optimize relevant Human Capital Workday modules. The Analyst will be part of the initiative to redefine the human resource operation of HRIS, Benefits and Payroll infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the campus community in a changing academic landscape.
The ideal candidate for the position of HRIS Analyst will have the following qualifications: bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or IT; minimum of 2-4 years of analysis experience; preference for Human Resources data experience; superior analytical, critical thinking, project management, problem solving and innovative skills, technically savvy; advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; prior experience with Workday preferred; excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop and present formal documents, reports, presentations and recommendations; demonstrate a strong ability to interact with all levels of management and diverse stakeholders; and have the ability to remain highly organized and efficient in a fast paced, multi-tasking, confidential environment.
