Description: The Department of Law and Justice Studies in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Rowan University is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Criminal Justice beginning September 1, 2017.  All areas of specializations will be considered. Applicants must be willing to teach undergraduate, graduate and online courses, produce scholarly research, and be committed to department and university service.  The successful candidate will be expected to seek external funding for research and participate in departmental initiatives such as the development and teaching of online courses, interdisciplinary programs, and the offering of programs at multiple campuses.  Class size is 35 students or less.  A 3/3 teaching load is guaranteed for the first two years and can be renewed annually with evidence of continuing scholarship.

Qualifications: A PhD in Criminal Justice or a closely-related discipline, or ABD with evidence that candidate is substantially close to completion is required. A JD alone is not an acceptable degree for this position.
