This position provides leadership, advising, and assistance to support embedding global learning outcomes and assessment into curricular and co-curricular global programming.
Asset Mapping: Audit and assess current programming and curriculum.
Program Development: Develop and implement global leadership program intended to increase intercultural competence across campus and community. Lead planning efforts for future globally connected classroom with innovative technological capability.
Global Programs Curriculum Integration: Provide instructional design support for developing transformative globally focused education abroad curriculum that meets Global Miami Plan requirements. Develop programmatic goals. Evaluate and assess program effectiveness.
Assessment: In consultation across divisions, develop and implement intercultural and global learning assessment plan for education abroad and international student programs.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three years of related professional work experience; experience developing internationalized and globally focused post-secondary curriculum. Intercultural and global competence assessment expertise. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task and direct multiple on-going projects.
Desire: Master’s degree; experience studying or living abroad; technologically mediated instructional design experience; universal design of learning experience.
