The Board of Trustees of Macomb Community College invites confidential applications and nominations for the sixth President in the College’s distinguished 62-year history. The College’s current president, James Jacobs Ph.D. will retire on July 1, 2017, after serving the College for nearly 50 years; he has been President since July 1, 2008. The next President will have the enviable opportunity to work with an active and engaged, elected Board, lead and inspire a team of motivated and dedicated faculty and staff, and serve an increasingly diverse student body and district.

Macomb Community College is a nationally ranked, multi-campus institution located in Macomb County that provides high-quality, affordable educational options for residents in Southeast Michigan. Providing educational opportunities to more than 48,000 people each year, Macomb is consistently ranked among the top 2 percent nationally for the number of associate degrees awarded and is the largest community college in Michigan.
