Fordham University — Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Social Service

Applicants are invited to apply for one full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor for an appointment that will begin September 2017. U.S. News and World Report have ranked the Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) at Fordham University in the top 10% in the nation. GSS is located in the heart of NYC at Lincoln Center and has campuses in Westchester and Long Island as well as international programs in London and Beijing. GSS offers a unique range of programs including a baccalaureate, masters and doctoral program, an asynchronous on- line MSW program and, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Leadership. As an integral part of a Jesuit University, GSS educates and prepares social workers to serve diverse populations with a human rights and social justice framework. The School is comprised of a collegial and supportive community of scholars recognized for their outstanding research and their collective dedication to teaching excellence.

We are seeking motivated individuals who are commitment to innovative social work practice with diverse populations and to preparing students to serve as highly skilled practitioners and leaders in a dynamic and changing field. Candidates with expertise in the area of children, families, and child welfare policy and practice will be given priority consideration. In addition candidates must possess a commitment to pursuing externally funded research and scholarly publication.

Candidates must have and MSW degree with at least two years post-masters practice experience and have earned a doctorate in social work or related discipline by September 1, 2017.
