Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions will provide leadership for the planning and execution of the strategic plan to achieve annual and long-range enrollment goals for undergraduate and graduate programs. The Director supervises a staff of eleven and is responsible for developing inquiries and managing the conversion process to enrolled students, as well as the management and analysis of recruitment and admissions data. The Director is expected to develop strategies and test assumptions in building enrollment models that assure continued success in attracting, enrolling, retaining, and graduating a student body of exceptional talent.
A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Documented leadership in a progressive management role in admissions in higher education is required. An understanding of best practices in enrollment marketing and data-driven decision making and demonstrated success in an admissions role is expected. Superior oral, written, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills are essential. The new Director must possess the ability to work well with Dominican College faculty, administrators, and staff and provide effective supervision and mentoring of staff. The demonstrated capacity to work autonomously with a high level of initiative and confidence, and ability to work collaboratively with high schools and two-year institutions will be expected of the director.
