The Department of Genetics and the Institute for Biomedical Informatics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position in the tenure track. The Department of Genetics and the Institute for Biomedical Informatics comprise faculty with diverse investigative interests and close affiliations with the neighboring Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in computational biology and/or biomedical informatics as applied to human genetics and genomics. Applicants should have a defined biological research interest and experience in collaborating with bench scientists. Responsibilities include developing and carrying out an independent research program and participating in graduate and medical school education. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for affiliation with Penn’s Department of Computer and Information Science.
