Three African Americans Appointed to Dean Posts at North Carolina A&T State University

Jones-JohnsonGloria Jones-Johnson was appointed interim dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. She was a professor of sociology at Iowa State University, where she also served as director of the women’s and gender studies program.

Dr. Jones-Johnson is a graduate of Talladega College in Alabama. She holds a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

Ncat DeansAnthony Graham is the new dean of the College of Education. He served as interim dean of the College of Education during the 2015-16 academic year. Dr. Graham joined the department of curriculum and instruction at the university in 2003. In 2010 he was named chair of the department.

Dr. Graham is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in English. He holds a master’s degree in English education and a Ph.D. in curriculum and teaching from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Lenora Campbell_webLenora Campbell was appointed interim dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. She is the former associate dean and professor in the School of Nursing at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina.

Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland and a doctorate in community mental health from the University of Alabama Birmingham.
