Description of Responsibilities: Will teach a range of core and elective courses in in programming, algorithms, systems, and/or languages; performing related research, especially in areas conducive to undergraduate participation; promoting students’ ability to succeed in a multicultural and global community.

In addition, this position will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:  PhD in Computer Science or related area by time of appointment, demonstrated teaching and research ability.

Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in areas covered by other degree programs offered by the department.

Description of Department:  The Computer Science Department currently offers Bachelor degree programs in Computer Science, Information Science, and Software Engineering, and participate in   interdisciplinary programs in Cognitive Science and Linguistics, as well as Master’s programs in Human Computer Interaction and Biomedical Health Informatics.
