Oberlin College — Assistant Professor of Biology: Infectious Disease

The Oberlin College Department of Biology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Infectious Disease, beginning July 1, 2017. We seek individuals with expertise in immunology, parasitology, epidemiology, or a similar field, and in social factors that affect how disease is experienced. The incumbent will teach the standard teaching load (currently 4.5 courses per year), including upper-level courses in infectious disease, introductory biology, and a non-majors course; mentor undergraduate research students; engage in scholarly research; and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising and committee service. Successful experience working with, teaching, or mentoring diverse groups is desirable.
